Acme, supporting artists since 1972

Acme Graduate Award Programme

A number of 12-month awards presently supporting seven graduate artists with the goal of providing a bridge between college and professional practice. Each recipient artist is selected in partnership with a university. The awards are operated by Acme and provide a bursary, rent-free studio space and a mentoring programme tailored specifically to the graduate’s practice including studio visits from other professional artists, curators, and access to networking opportunities. Recipients occupy shared and adjacent studio space in order to foster and encourage a greater degree of peer support and an environment of growth, risk-taking and excellence.

The current programmes are:

  • Adrian Carruthers Award (Slade School of Art, University of London)
  • Chelsea MA Studios Award
  • City & Guilds of London Art School Studio Award
  • Goldsmiths MFA Studio Award
  • Helen Scott Lidgett Studio Award (Central St Martins, University of the Arts London)
  • Jonathan Harvey Studio Award (Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts or Wimbledon College of Arts)
